Precure Full Bloom, this season’s Power of Hope, is purportedly a Yes! Precure 5 sequel. And while the fourth and fifth seasons of the Magical Girl franchise undoubtedly feature the girls, we’ve also seen a few characters from the season before making an appearance. This week’s episode also features the return of a well-known face and voice from the first season of the show.
This week, Masako Nozawa, who is most known for playing Goku in several Dragon Ball series, makes an appearance as Sanae, a local who is familiar with the town’s past. For those who have been watching Precure from the start, she might be familiar as Honoka’s (also known as Cure White) grandmother, Sanae Yukishiro, from the first two seasons.
When Nozawa completes a production, she usually wonders what will come next, so she was pleased to learn that “Grandma Sanae” will be making a comeback in this sequel series.
