The Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV is another electric SUV that has an ultra-luxury version with an extra-special back seat; nevertheless, the Volvo EX90 Excellence gives the concept a uniquely Swedish twist. The EX90 Excellence, which was unveiled for the Chinese market earlier this year, stands apart from the ordinary model thanks to its plush exterior and interior.
Volvo removed the third-row seats from the EX90 and replaced the second row with two opulent thrones to create the Excellence. In addition to heating and cooling, they provide a massage function and two plush pillows. A refrigerator, sized just for, say, a bottle of Veuve Cliquot, sits between the seats. Grained wood trim, Orrefors crystal, and unique wool-blend upholstery are more interior characteristics. The EX90 Excellence may be identified externally by its striking two-tone black and silver paint job and large 22-inch wheels.
Naturally, Volvo has already done this with the XC90 Excellence, which was even briefly offered for sale in the United States. Although we don’t believe Volvo intends to introduce the EX90 Excellence to the US market, we’re confident the business could find a few affluent clients who would be drawn to its creature amenities.
