Fresh leaks of Destiny 2 have given fans their first glimpse at Bungie’s celebration of the franchise’s tenth anniversary. Here’s what to anticipate, ranging from tangible gifts like a new Nerf gun to in-game things like new armor.
Nearly ten years have passed since Destiny debuted on retail shelves. When Guardians entered the Tower for the first time and started their mission to combat the Darkness, it was back in 2014.
Even though a lot has changed in the seven years since then with Destiny 2, some fans still yearn for those simpler times. In addition to the basic Dinklebot, further tasks include manually leveling up weapons and farming materials through laborious resource runs on each planet.
Bungie appears to be planning a 10-year event with in-game and off-game awards to commemorate the game’s beginnings and development. Thanks to a few early leaks, this is all we know.
When is the commemoration of Destiny 2’s ten years?
As the name suggests, we may anticipate that Destiny 2’s 10th anniversary celebration would fall on the same day as the game’s initial release. However, an actual date has not yet been set.

Destiny 2’s tenth-anniversary event brings new gear.
Bungie is giving away a new set of Destiny 2 armor to “celebrate ten years of saving the universe.” This armor is a throwback from the game’s original releases to the Titan, Hunter, and Warlock outfits. This information was obtained by The Game Post using a datamined graphic.
Leaks indicate that we’ll need to “explore the Pale Heart and behind [our] hunt for hidden chests” to obtain this armor for ourselves.
Tenth-year Legend Triumph
According to the sources, there’s more to Destiny 2 than just hunting armor pieces. There could be a new Triumph. By gaining access to the new Legend title, you can “officially become a legend.”
The whole list of requirements for obtaining the new Legend seal is provided below:
- Gather every “Cayde-6 Stash.”
- Get up to Guardian Rank 8.
- When outfitted with the “Veteran Legend” equipment, finish the ritual activities.
- Full Reflections on the Timeline.
- Rahool encrypts messages.
- When wearing the “Veteran Legend” sets in Skywatch, defeat adversaries and acquire loot engrams.
- Pick up the ornaments made of Anniversary Armor from the Special Deliveries Terminal.
Nerf gun: Ace of Spades
Naturally, a celebration wouldn’t be complete without tangible treats to take home. Bungie is preparing to offer another Nerf gun, a hand cannon known as the Ace of Spaces.
A physical seal for the Legend Triumph is also available for Guardians to obtain.
