Now that the entire selection of Black Ops 6 launch maps has been made public, a little modification has been seen on one of the most well-liked maps that appears to fix a significant beta bug.
Many people thought Skyline was the best Black Ops 6 map yet, and fans praised the way the new omnimovement system and the opulent apartment were designed. The majority, nevertheless, concurred that the pool area was excessively open and provided little protection from gunfire.
Since B-flag is located in Domination, the problem was particularly apparent there. As a result, whoever got it first frequently held it for the majority of the battle, leading to many painful encounters when the opposing team could easily pick you off from one of the several windows and vantage points overlooking it.
Fortunately, a lower sub-level had been added to Skyline, right adjacent to the hot tub area, as mentioned in the blog post announcing the whole lineup of launch maps. Although this is a minor change, the additional elevation and steps provide a secure location to attempt to capture the target.
Players have embraced the change, with the majority concurring that it’s a better Skyline than the one we saw in the beta. Nevertheless, others contended that it would still be too challenging to hold the region, particularly on Domination.
Reddit user “Limp-Grapefruit” commented, “It’s better than nothing, I suppose, since capturing B and holding it might be more doable now, but the pool area still is way too open IMO.”
It will continue to rank among the game’s worst hills. Another player commented, “But at least I won’t have to prone ‘n’ pray when I’m on the hill; I just have to try and fade the other five angles.”
Only time will tell if the map needs any additional changes in the future, as we won’t be able to see the new-look Skyline action until Black Ops 6 launches on October 25.
