This melon was something we all knew, and now it’s official. The first glimpse of Our Generation 쨱桃琥珀, which reunites Angel Zhao Jinmai and Zhang Linghe for their second drama following The Princess Royal, has been released. Despite being 21 and 26 years old, respectively, their height difference, adorable interactions, and young enthusiasm won over fans during their debut cooperation, which demonstrated amazing chemistry both on and off-screen. It should come as no surprise that this Youku series, which places them in a contemporary environment, soon cast them together once more.

Behind the scenes, familiar figures can be seen in Our Generation, which is directed by Daylight Entertainment, a company renowned for outstanding productions that appeal to both critics and spectators. Both Hou Hongliang and Zhang Kaizhou, who are well-known for their work on hits like The Story of Minglan, produced and directed the film.
The plot revolves around two people who met when they were young and are based on Yun Zhu 云住’s novel Oceans of Time. In reference to the title, Zhao Jinmai portrays Lin Qile, a bright and jovial figure known by the moniker Yingtao (cherry in English). Jiang Qiaoxi is portrayed by Zhang Linghe as a reserved genius. Years later, after a misunderstanding separates them, they get back together.
The one criticism that some fans have made thus far is that Zhang Linghe’s hair especially is too cheesy; however, perhaps this is just a component of their youthful 90s aesthetic.
