Capcom unveiled a new Street Fighter 6 teaser at the 2022 Game Awards, providing fans with all the details they have been waiting for since the beta! They revealed information on the four new characters, the official release date of 2023, the pre-order choices, and the immersive single-player World Tour mode in this new trailer. The trailer introduces us to new characters Manon, Marisa, JP, and the returning Dee Jay.
In the World Tour mode, players will travel the globe learning Special Moves from Masters, stopping at interesting venues such as an Italian arena, a French festival, a Jamaican beach, and more. They can even combine Special Moves from several Masters, so as long as they’re utilizing different inputs, their avatar can use a Hadoken or Sonic Boom, a Spinning Bird Kick, and a Yoga Flame in the same boat. World Tour also brings Master Assist, a helpful feature for when you face multiple opponents, which lets players fight alongside a Master like Ryu by summoning them to aid for a short while. The last thing they disclosed was the existence of minigames that can be played in between matches. These minigames take the shape of part-time jobs where you may earn World Tour mode currency to buy food, clothing, and other items in-game.
There are both physical and digital offers available for pre-ordering. Alternative colors for Chun-Li, Jamie, Manon, Dee Jay, Juri, and Ken’s Outfit 1 will be sent with every pre-order. Digital pre-orders for PlayStation consoles will also come with exclusive goodies, such as eighteen in-game Special Titles and eighteen stickers with distinctive artwork from the launch roster to customize their profile. In general, these are your options:
- Standard Edition (Digital and Physical): Contains the 18-character launch roster, World Tour, Battle Hub, and the Fighting Ground base game.
- Deluxe Edition (Digital/Physical): Comes with 4,200 Drive Tickets for in-game purchases in addition to the main game and the Year 1 Character Pass, which features four characters. Colors 3 through 10 correspond to each Year 1 character’s Outfit 1.
- Ultimate Edition (Digital Only): Contains two more outfits for each of the four Year 1 characters, two more stages, a bonus of 7,700 Drive Tickets, and the base game along with the Year 1 Ultimate Pass, which includes material from the Year 1 Character Pass.
