In December, “When the Phone Rings” will take a two-week break.
On November 28, the production team for MBC’s “When the Phone Rings” announced that the drama would not air on December 14 or 20.
It will be replaced on December 14 by a special documentary honoring Han Kang, the first Korean to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. A recap of Episodes 1 through 7 will air on December 20.
“When the Phone Rings,” which is based on a well-known online novel, is about a couple who married for convenience, Baek Sa Eon (Yoo Yeon Seok) and Hong Hee Joo (Chae Soo Bin), and the passion that develops between them following a threatening phone call.
At 9:50 PM KST on Fridays and Saturdays, “When the Phone Rings” airs.
