ITZY recently accomplished a noteworthy achievement on the Billboard 200!
ITZY’s most recent album, “BORN TO BE,” was first made available on digital and Korean music platforms on January 8. However, the CD version of the album was delayed and did not arrive in stores until February 9 in the US, even though its songs had already been streamed and downloaded there since January. It therefore makes its debut more than a month after its original release on the U.S. album rankings.
Billboard, which lists the top 200 albums in the US each week, announced on February 21 local time that “BORN TO BE” has debuted at No. 62 on the chart.
ITZY’s sixth straight album to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 is “BORN TO BE,” following “GUESS WHO,” “CRAZY IN LOVE,” “CHECKMATE,” “CHESHIRE,” and “KILL MY DOUBT.”
In less than three years, ITZY has tied TWICE’s record for the most Billboard 200 entries of any K-pop girl group ever with their most recent debut.
Not only did “BORN TO BE” take the No. 5 slot on the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart this week, but it also made a reappearance at No. 2 on Billboard’s World Albums chart.
ITZY, meanwhile, spent nine weeks altogether on the list before they returned to the top of Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 15.
ITZY has achieved a new record on the Billboard 200! Congratulations!
