The character posters for the two leads in tvN’s upcoming drama “Queen of Tears” have been revealed!
“Queen of Tears,” which was written by Park Ji Eun, the producer of “Crash Landing on You,” “My Love From the Star,” and “Producer,” will recount the amazing, exciting, and hilarious tale of a married couple who overcome all obstacles to stay together and endure a crisis.
The role of Hong Hae In, the chaebol heiress dubbed the “queen” of Queens Group’s department stores, will be portrayed by Kim Ji Won. Just trust me,” Hong Hae In boldly proposes and promises to Baek Hyun Woo (Kim Soo Hyun) in her character poster. You won’t ever have tears in your eyes thanks to me.
Kim Soo Hyun is set to portray Baek Hyun Woo, the legal director of Queens Group, a conglomerate that transforms from a “supermarket prince” to the son-in-law of South Korea’s most prominent chaebol family.
Nevertheless, Baek Hyun Woo appears to regret having trusted Hong Hae in the past, even in spite of his rise in prominence. The message on his poster says, “[She instructed me] to simply trust her? I’m a weird person because I took those words at face value.
The terms over the heads of the characters in the two posters—Hong Hae In is referred to as the “Queen,” while Baek Hyun Woo is referred to as the “Queen’s man”—also allude to the couple’s power dynamic.
